In this work the hydrogen atom ionization process by fast electrons has been studied using the first and the second Born approximation and compared with the results of experimental observation. Post-collision interaction (PCI) between scattered and ejected electrons is considered approximately by use the Gamow factor, which improves the qualitative agreement of the theoretically calculated differential cross-section with experimentally observed one.
