Separation of chiral compound’s enantiomers is very important due to fact, that often enantiomers have different physiological effect. High performance Liquid Chromatography is most widely used method for separation of enantiomers. Despite the fact, that there are described many chiral stationary phases, still it is not easy task to find chiral selector capable to separate wide range of compounds. Polysaccharide based chiral selectors are mostly used to prepare chiral stationary phases. In this work, the is advantages of superficially porous stationary phases (core-shell) over traditional totally porous phases are described. It is shown, how efficient and fast analysis can be performed. Experimental results, performed on core-shell type chiral stationary phases, charts and van-deemter plots demonstrates, that it is possible to perform superfast separations without significant loss of separation efficiency.
